The New to Java Center provides customized learning paths to its collection of links to tutorials, articles, online books, and software downloads. The vulnerabilities addressed by this security release do not affect the demos and samples code. Therefore there is no need to update Demos and Samples as long as the JDK itself is updated to version 7u7.
The Java Tutorials are practical guides for programmers who want to use the Java programming language to create applications. They include hundreds of complete, working examples, and dozens of lessons. Groups of related lessons are organized into «trails.» The Java Tutorials include features through the Java SE 6 version.

Regular Expressions are a way to describe a set of strings based on common characteristics shared by each Java 7 SE Lessons string in the set. Regular expressions vary in complexity, but once you understand the basics of how they’re constructed, you’ll be able to decipher (or create) any regular expression.

approved by the JCP and will receive no further updates, not even
for security issues. Binaries for development and production use

Oracle and in most popular Linux distributions. The official Reference Implementations for Java SE 7
(JSR 336) are
based solely upon open-source code available from the JDK 7 Project in the
OpenJDK Community. Binaries are
provided for both the linux-x64 and windows-i386 platforms.
